Canning tomatoes,etc. without a water bath or pressure canner?
jams and jellies verses meat and veggies..., i make my jams like you pour hot jam into a heated jar, hand tighten lids then cool they pop for me, (my mom used parafin wax instead) but meats and veggies, after yo pour your tomatos in your heated jar(so they dont crack) and you put your lids on, just put in a large pot and heat to boil, over med. heat, continue for about10 /15 minutes then shut off heat let them cool in your pot about 15 minutes then remove and let cool, make sure they all pop! may take in excess of and hour or more, any that dont pop you can try and redo or just refrigerate and use within a few days
