If you had more than one child, did you have a baby shower for your second (or more) pregnancies?

Im kind of upset... I had three children, and only ever had a "baby shower" for my first, since my mother and my sister said it would be improper to hold another baby shower and they are only meant for your first. Well, funny because a few family members of mine have had a couple or more kids and held a baby shower for each child. My mom and sister happily attended. So, being upset that i couldn't with my 2nd, even though it was a different than the first.. i thought for third if i could have a "the baby is here" or whatever party. Not so that i could get gifts dont get me wrong. But because a lot of family lives out of town, and NO ONE ever comes to visit my family at our house. So i thought it would be a good get together and everyone could see the baby. Well my mom and sis still found this inappropriate, because people would feel obligated to get gifts. Well, i dont come from a poor family by any means.. so even if they felt obligated, which no one should, i wouldn't feel that terrible anyways. I just wanted good food and family. Its kind of always bugged me to this day. So just curious if you had more than one baby shower or not? Or thoughts on it. I always thought of each child JUST AS important to celebrate as the the other.
