Is there a software encrypts your whole computer?

When encrypting the software would ask for a pword. This software encrypts the whole computer with the pword. All other computers that were encrypted by the same pword, algorithm and software can access their own files. If files from the computer is sent to the other computers, the file can't be open because of the encryption?
