I need help with Homecoming ideas?

I am in charge of my school's homecoming dance this year. My commitee and I are trying to stay away from "Hollywood" and "Night Of Stars" style ides because we think these are too common and not ery original. Our school mascot is the Panther and our colors are Green and Gold. I am open to any suggestions. Thanks sooo much! :)
