What works better with hughes net?, xbox 360 or ps3?

I have Hughes net because i live out in the country and i cant get dsl or cable. I have a 360 but with Hughes net it lags bad. I can play fear 2 gear of war with terrible lag. It lags so bad i cant even play call of duty 4. Anyways i was hoping that the ps3 might be better online with Hughes net. Please tell me any information you can.
