Why americans and europeans fear the middle east?

If ppl don't have an enemy to focus on they start in-fighting. Hitler did it with the Jews, the Americans with the Nazis in WW2, even in your country there are some who'd love it if they could get you to obsess on anything or anyone other than some slight of hand they're trying to pull so they can keep control. It's human psychology and it isn't hard to do either.
